Bishop Constantine Rupiny

Bishop Constantine Rupiny was born on November 10, 1974 in Parombo. He studied in Parombo Primary school till 1989. In 1990, he joined Sts. Peter and Paul Minor seminary Pokea for six years after which he went to Alokolum National Major Seminary for philosophical studies for three years and subsequently, Ggaba National major seminary for four years. After joining Alokolum major seminary as a formator, he was sent to Rome, precisely to Urban University to study philosophy for a Licentiate until he came back to Alokolum seminary to continue with his work of formation. He was again sent to study Dogmatic heology at Warsaw in Poland. There, he did his licentiate and doctorate from Cardinal Stefan Wyszinski University. After his doctorate in Poland, he returned to Alokolum Major Seminary as a formator and later as rector. It was from this last role as a rector that he was appointed as the fifth Bishop of Nebbi Catholic Diocese on 26th November 2024 by Pope Francis. He was ordained and installed on 22 Feb. 2025 by His Grace Raphael p’Mony Wokorach, the Archbishop of Gulu Archdiocese. Together we continue building strong Christian communities rooted in prayer, unity and love.
